Rural Mail Carrier is a situation radio comedy in the style of Lake Wobegon. We are developing it for public radio. Located in lovely Mosquito Crossing, WI, it is a uniquely American place. We emphasize recruiting cast and crew from among those with disabilities, including producer/director/writer, Evan Sasman. In the Humility Episode, more than half the cast and crew were people with disabilities. In our last episode (our second) the Mosquito Crossing Good Ol' Boys bowling team qualifies for the state champeenship. When they find out they are going against a wheelchair bowling team, they get a little overconfident. Special Olympics provided bowling sound effects. With this contest award we can produce another episode, one step closer to fame and fortune and being able to order off the menu at LA restaurants. Also, the iPad would be nice, too. Dibs on the iPad.
