@andyssss It's 1 1/2" here in the USA. Damn it would be nice to lift a framed wall that was just studs! Dang it man are you freaking blind LOOK AT THE WALL! See any plates? WIndow framing? Corners? T's? Blocking? Headers?

@PalmyBruce Take all your fancy internet research and find out how much ceiling insulation matters more than walls. Then find out how much it would cost to add R-2 to about 400sqft of ceiling, tell us how smart your "double glazing" is after that.

Now, were those "R1" windows in the video double-glazed? I'm experimenting with do-it-yourself double-glazing and want to know what my R value is likely to be. See my video by searching for PalmyBruce and doityourself double-glazing. My glass sandwich has a space of about 2cm, with perimeter of closed cell foam.
