  • This rendition is absolutely magnificent!!!

We bow to thee, o Great Carreras!

  • to my surprise, I have to agree.

    Kind of unexpected.

He already sounds like him on "notte... Tramontate stelle"

At first he imitated di Stefano, then was told that this is dangerous for the high open notes. Maybe he actually tried to use Björling as model here.

  • @lurdess98: LOVE, love catan language and all Catalonias !!!

  • @TheKyomu2010: Singing so beautifully is not about "technique"... Who are you, Caruso? Mmmm. Maestro Carreras is above any negative comment: he sings from the soul, as he has always said.

  • Gracias Dios por darnos el privilegio de escucharle, es 500% mejor que antes de su lucha contra el cancer.

  • Aquesta es una canço que m'eriça el cabell es molt bonica :)

  • Terrible technique!

  • Hermoso !

  • For once I must say that I am really at a loss for words that convey what this music does to me tonight....I LOVE it! WONDERFUL! Thank you so very much for this posting and again a big Thank You to YOU TUBE! Goodnight....sweet dreams to all.

  • I think Carreras strains throughout the aria except for the more lyric parts that are more suited for his voice

  • This is my absolute favorite version of my favorite Opera piece. The ending with the chorus is the best version by far! I love it!!!!!!

  • This is one of my all time favourite pieces of music. I'm 23 and i love my drum and bass, trance and modern rock, but this is one of the most emotive pieces of music i have heard. it has to be said though, Aqua were the all time greats.
