Today's video will show you how to properly run the Trend Micro House Call Rootkit Removal Tool. The Trend Micro House Call utility is actually an award winning utility for removing those deeply embedded viruses that plague our systems (many times without us ever knowing). I found out in this video that my computer was actually infected and I never knew it! Thankfully Trend Micro's House Call was able to detect and remove it successfully. See? My Virus Removal series is even helping me out... I suppose that is a good thing. There is no single way to prevent your computer from getting infections, but this series will aid you in removing many you might get.

I downloaded the pack but it says that this program is expired & tries to make you sign up for some other service (most I would assume cost money or are spam). Any idea where I can actually get it for free?

Housecall is still free, it has simply updated since I last uploaded the virus pack, just follow the link to their website, click download housecall 7.1 (it's free) and continue with the download.

I did that but they tried to make my sign up for outside services (which I simply don't trust) that ask me for my credit card.

Just tried it :D - this is what happens: 1) It says your version is out of date then you click "Ok" to update. 2) The webpage loads and you click in the bottom right hand corner "Download House Call 7.1 32-bit" 3) An pops up comes up with two buttons and it asks if you want internet security, but you click on the button on the left that says "Get Housecall Now" because you don't want internet security and 4) Click "save" or "run" to download Housecall. :D

Hello, i suspected i had a virus because sometimes my computer freezes if i open alot of things, but i used this scanner and it said no threats found. so does that actually mean there is no viruses in my computer, basicly is it an accurate scanner? please reply

Thanks man, TrendMicro Housecall found hpquins00.dat but it says the risk is 2/3 but if I try to fix it it says it "...can result in the deletion of a normal file." I googled it but there's not that much info, just a bunch of people's virus logs
