  • This is a great video! I've never been much of a runner.. and nobody really teaches you good running posture and techniques, but I'm training to join the Air Force, and this has me looking forward to my run tomorrow. Thanks!

  • This is great for long distance running, perfect actually. But for sprinting, landing on the forefoot is essential, I'd like to see a vid from you on sprinting technique. your videos are badass.

  • This guy has the same body as powerline from goofymovie!

  • Gee, this sure looks like ChiRunning. Way to treat a former partner.

  • @livefitnow Well said.

  • Lol, you're not supposed to land on the midfoot... Personally the only time I'd ever do that is if after ~10k my calves are burning and I need to slightly recover.

I suppose everyone's different when it comes to running efficiency and strategies though.

  • really want to improve my skills and posture but find that really hard!!!!

  • this is so amazing for animation

  • GFR is wrong is posting a video such as this that suggests this is "good form". It's not. To be sure, a forefoot strike is recommended because the gastroc is designed to absorb the impact of the body, which is why is so darn big and strong in comparison to say the forearm. A midfoot strike forces the body into an unnatural position with minimal help from the heavy use gastroc and soleus. Those two are the springs of our bodies and are meant to take the shock and return it to useful motion.

  • scroney mctwigs

  • being skinny makes you a better long distance runner
