He's not talking about the Hotel Isabella.
He's talking about 88 Isabella which was a boarding house. There's an apartment building there now.

The great thing about this particular performances are all the little Toronto references in this song, as it's being played in Toronto. eg. Hotel Isabella, Riverboat, the St Lawrence Market.
