sylvia sass she is one best of the best opera singer after Maria Callas, she can carry heavy role and voice she is wonderful, she give us our human her voice

They say she burned out her voice trying to imitate Maria Callas, which is highly likely. There's a lot of the Callas thrust and drive here. I wish Sass could have kept her voice longer. There's a lot of good stuff here, but it obviously wasn't healthy enough to sustain itself for very long. Too bad ---- because she had the goods!

I am really glad to see such a rarity of Sylvia, who has always been one my favourite...since we, Hungarians have been always proud of her...I am really sorry that she has had such a short carrier. However, she is a good painter as well....:-)
I can only recommend you to look for her recordings here, and especially her Japanese casta diva from Norma...:-)

Since when has Lady Macbeth become a mezzo role? Verdi wrote it for a dramatic soprano and the role includes a D in alt in the Sleepwalking Scene.
