A Union Pacific KLTG1 double stack intermodal train, led by GE C45ACCTE #7716, passes the UP 844 steam excursion train that is on display at Mitchell Avenue in Oroville, California on April 30, 2009 at 3:03 PM. The train has a 10 MPH speed restiction at Mitchell Avenue due to people on and around the tracks. As demonstrated in the video, it is apparent why this restiction is in place. One woman decided to stand in the train's path to get a photo while others on bicycles and foot proceeded across the tracks long after the gates were down. Shoving on the rear is GE C45ACCTE #5545.

  • What is there such thing as IOAG2?

  • Dude, give me a break. I don't know all the train symbols. I would say that is the IOAG2 because it is the opposite of the IG2OA. Global 2 to Oakland, Oakland to Global 2.....

  • Sorry I'm not ragging on you. I'm just trying to learn all the symbols, so I didn't know if there was a IOAG2. Sorry

  • That's alright.

  • Poor 844. Stuck with a diesel when we all know she can handle a train by herself. If she could 50 years ago, why not now?

  • I love the double short horn blasts Very kool.

  • ha, people think they dont need to worry about an oncoming train due to it going 10 MPH.. People should respect UP for even putting 844 on Display!

  • I see the person in yellow is still making a nuisance of her (?) self.. nice ending G. Lotsa chugging up da hill..

  • You know valley speak went on you know and we should be greatful that Union Pacific has rules and guidelines for setting up public displays when the 844, 3985, E9's and 6936 are set up for display purposes. If someone gets hits, abused or injured by the train approaching the railroad would be in a lot of trouble possibly if anyone sues. Some of the people I agree were being very stupid though. I'm baffled by anyone who thinks it is safe to cross streets or railroad tracks running.

  • nice comment @ 1:39 & absolutely true.

  • Nice shot!
