@macinthosh13579 I was able to open the doors because that particular elevator was in the process of being modernized, and the car was right there. I guess the construction workers didn't bother to lock it. Then again, that is a typical thing during modernization projects.

I had the same problem the first time I rode these elevators. It waited about 20 seconds before taking off.

@Renovator08 That's the thing; the elevator was moving very slowly that entire time. It went up an entire floor. I've never had this problem in these elevators before. I've redden these many times before.
