73096 pauses at Andover, Hampshire, UK for a water-stop on 29 Sept, 2004. The support team switch on the pump generator while the piped PA announcements are well O T T. As the light fades the train heads towards London.

  • 73096 - A Standard Class 4-6-0 5MT built by British Railways in the 1950s. It's based on the Mid Hants 'Watercress' line, from Alresford to Alton.

  • Try spending an hour at Shenfield in the peak. The lady always sounds so depressed!!

  • Sound like an automated anouncement. It could be worse, the announcer at Milton Keynes Central sounds like a complete nerd, and for some reason he emphasizes the "ham" in "Birmingham"
