  • Would you be able to make a video of this playing a little slower and an overhead camera view? I am not used to Bach and the way his notes are written and can't figure out some parts and which hand plays what :( :( :( It's driving me nuts

  • No, I'm afraid, I won't record it again (except for Deutsche Grammophon perhaps *gg*). You can check the slower versions on YT instead.

I don't want to be responsible for the damage of your mental health ;)

  • @Ashleyluvsxxx In my sheet music, the only tempo markings are for the first movement (Sinfonia) - Grave/Adagio and then Andante. The rest of the Partita does not have any. This leaves the pianist to decide what is best ;).

  • what is the timing on the metronome for this piece?

  • bravo

  • Спасибо, Филипп, мне очень понравилось Ваше исполнение!

  • perfekt !

  • ich weiß nicht, liegt das an der akustik, oder warum kommt mir die eine oder andere stelle so unsauber vor...

  • You're absolutely right, but I am a stubborn old bastard I guess.. Of course I cant really get this piece just by using my ear, I wish :)..

  • You can learn to read notes in 1 day. And there is no chance to learn this correctly by ear

  • Sehr schön gespielt - bravo!

    LG

  • Haha.. ok. Well I was actually going to ask you the very same thing. I also play, although I am self-taught and dont read notes. I have to learn everything by using my ears.

I think this very piece is my absolute Bach favorite, and I would really like to learn it, been trying just now by ear, but I am only getting about 4-secs into the piece, and it becomes staggeringly complex.

You did a fantastic job, only minor spills - here and there. Very, very nice

Greetings from Denmark by the way ;)
