To be honest I know very little about these games, though I am interested. Are you stuck with a small ship or can you get bigger? Can you upgrade it? Anything else really besides these battles? More than one race you can play as?

@CaptinTrips well, techicly you can play as other races but it doesnt really make any diffrence to the game. and you can fly any ship you want. from Scouts to heavy fighters, to Corvettes, Frigates destroyers and even carriers, and ofcourse Freighters an stuff if yiou like to be boring an trade around lol. an not only that you can command entire fleets, have a fleet of Freighters to do Trading for you. you can also build stations to produce goods like weapons an stuff. have your own econemy

@CaptinTrips just to point out X rebirth will be out late this year, an will have a brand new Engine with multi core support an stuff, As X3 doesnt so it can lag alot in large battles an Busy sectors. but hopefully in X rebirth it'll be much smoother as well as much better looking game.

I payed $6 for this game on Steam and I feel I over paid. The game starts way to slow, you have to take way to long just to learn the game because there is so much too it and the tutorial don't teach you but 10% of what you need to know. The learning curve is HUGE and much like a MMO unless you can sit your butt down for countless hours you don't get anywhere. Good game, but only if you can play for countless hours. 3 of 10 stars IMO.

@apok72 well i remember they did a much more detailed tutorial in game about everything on X2, dunno why they didnt really do anything for X3. but once oyu learn it all this game is awesome. an yeah its a slow paced game. not every game is fast. and i personally find fast games to be a bit boring. i allways prefer slow building up kinda games :P

@Gasert666 I somewhat agree with the guy, when I started a new character in x3 it felt like...well, like I'd just been yanked from my couch, dropped into a space ship without any idea of what I was doing, where I was, or what I should do next.

Now I've been playing a while, and it's fun, but I have to say in my opinion I still prefer Freelancer. It's simple, it's fast paced, and it's old as hell so I can run it on my laptop. Perfect.

@apok72 Fuck you! It's because of guys like you,we have games where WASD is movement and everythink else is controled via space so stupid-ass players will get the controls,don't judge this game only because it's not same as all others. Yes it uses a lot of keys,but it's space SIMULATOR and in real space shuttles you have more than single button! If it's too difficult for you than don'tplay it and don't judge it loudly. It's priceless game and I hope X Rebirth will be too.

@CorBlimey2 Its the COD mindset. He wants to be presented with a small area, a gun, and enemies to shoot-no more, no less. Plot is optional.
