For 10 years now, I have thought about painting or drawing the moss-draped cypress trees of New Rose Creek AKA Christopher Creek, and finally had the opportunity with this morning's fog. Painted 1-9-08 on a miniature 5"x7" Clayboard (brandname) panel... nice panel for detail work, but this size makes it still difficult to achieve a nice final output. Using a red-burgundy undercoat to add some warmth, as this was a challenge to interject just the right amount of color into an image otherwise void of color.

It was time-lapsed using a Sony TRV25 in INTERVAL mode (1/2 second every 30 seconds).

If you like it, or learned something from it, please RATE it by clicking on a STAR, and/or leave me a comment.

THANKS FOR WATCHING!! Take care, KEEP PAINTING, it allows you to see the world through fresh eyes.

  • A Clayborad panel is a gessoed rigid fiberboard panel with a very nice eggshell texture in the gesso. Clayboard is the brandname. I bought these at the Hobby Lobby store. Thanks for watching.
