  • Thank you soooooo much for this!!! Because of you I have officially learned this move! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

  • @MissSarcasm82 you're welcome :) glad i could have helped!!! it doesnt really matter which leg you lead off...i can lead off either and still get heaps of spin and control is all in the abs! best of luck :)

  • Nice tutorial on the corkscrew (or reverse grab as I have known it here Stateside). I've never had any success with this move--my shoulder anatomy is still too tight. Fleur did a similar tute--basing the move on the chair spin as you have--showing how the body will naturally "fall" into the reverse grab if you just take away the push-out hand and let nature kind of take its course. But I always hit the ground before things start to happen--I have a very short pole, LOL!

  • Heyaa!!! The best thing ive found is to put some metho on your hands to get the stick happening first so you dont fall as quick hehe! You could always start out on tip toes and reach as high as you can with your top arm?

  • Thanks so much, that's not what we call a corkscrew and I was looking for the version we call it, but I've been trying to learn this move too, with no success. My teacher is trying to get me to do it with just falling into it, and it won't work cause I have no momentum, so I'm gonna try to learn it this way, thanks :)

  • Always lead with your "Outside Leg" the leg that is furthest from the pole, You will get a smoother spin, and better direction and momentum. :) I call it the Reverse Grab, I have a different move for the Corkscrew :)

  • very helpful!

  • very nice Belle... can't wait for tricks class next term... I will nail this...

  • Very good instruction-video! Very nice shoes too!
