what is this?! he doesn't even mention Ron Paul. Oh and just for you guys who actually think that Bill Maher would vote for Ron Paul rather than Obama because he called him his hero: He did that because Ron Paul is the only one of the GOP candidates who says the truth, sticks to the truth and denies the use of bullshit language which evokes fear, hatred and is misleading. This means that he RESPECTS Ron Paul as a person and politician but it doesn't mean that he agrees with all his ideas.

@Lassitofi You bring up a good point. Considering his audience, it must be a challenge for him to cross party lines without blowback. One thing I really like about Ron Paul is that he equally pisses off the left and the right establishment. Team Paul up with a guy like Kucinich and I think we would all be better off.

@betteryouthanme: I for one respect ron paul, as he's one of the few left that's consistent with his principles. but I do disagree with some of his economic ideologies as I believe in "socialist" safety nets -- that some public functions must be run by the government so that it's not for profit, like healthcare, education, public safety (firefighters police) etc. I do agree with him about ending the fed and all that. as to what pays for all that "welfare" I agree with ventura's idea of taxing.

@betteryouthanme This is what I've been saying all along. Paul/Kucinich White house FTW! We need a balance of Liberal and Conservative to help our country unite in these times of crisis rather than dividing further by throwing some extreme left or right in there with a running mate that is basically a parrot of the candidate. Liberals need to understand the Libertarian agenda, and Libertarians need to be willing to let VOLUNTARY socialization of state-level agencies.
