  • A "click" or "tick" is 1/10th of a second. Each repeater can be set to between 1 and 4 ticks. By default it's 1, and for each time you right click it it's increased by 1 tick.

  • Bushka2000, actualy, the differences are as following.

Pistons can only push 12 blocks, meaning you'll get a 13 block long bridge.

You must place a repeater before each piston so it works. So you'll have to have one of the others for the towers set back one.

  • @reedscott3 Actually no, you don't need a repeater before each piston. Pistons can be powered by powering a block adjacent to them, and redstone wires always power the block directly below them. This is how it worked in the mod, and it's still how it works now that pistons are in the standard game. I've checked this in-game.

  • Just checked, this will work in 1.7, with a few notes:

-First, pistons can push other pistons, so you'll need to put a block of obsidian behind each side piston to keep it from being moved accidentally.

-Second, pistons seem to move a bit slower, so you might need to slow down the redstone clock. I'm not sure about this though.

-Third, pistons can't push as many blocks in a row as before, so it can only make a 13-long bridge now.

  • Dude when I do it my pistons just go forward and don't retract! My repeaters also don't flash, they just all light up! Help!

  • @zakman246

The problem you're having is that you put too much power into your redstone circuit. To fix this, first break the circuit by destroying part of the redstone wiring in the clock (the repeaters and redstone making a circle), then once the whole circuit is blank, replace it. Then, to start the system, put a switch near part of the redstone (anywhere works), and quickly flip it on and off. You can't just leave the switch on, or it'll keep pumping power into the system, jamming it.

  • @reedscott3 i would like to point out,

1- you dont need a repeater righ before a piston for it to work.

  • i made two of these facing eachother so i got a bridge twice as wide :) now its the floor in a castle :D

  • @Shrimp908

It will work, the Vanilla Pistons are essentially the same as the Mod's, just it won't push as far as it will in the real.

I made a working one in 1.7, works brilliantly.

  • @aatwong hmm im sorry i dont know :(
