In 1967 the area was completely rebuilt with new rides and scenery. The original layout was demolished, and a new set of buildings was erected. The addition of the Carousel theater (Carousel of Progress), Flight to the Moon building, the Adventure Thru Inner Space building, a new Circle-Vision building, and the PeopleMover/Rocket Jets platform, gave Tomorrowland the "World on the Move" theme.

  • Without seeming too negative, I have to say that this Tomorrowland is much better and futuristic than the one of the present day. What were they thinking in getting rid of Voyage through Innerspace, Circlevision Theatre and the People mover?

  • That scene with the spaceman flying over Tomorrowland looks like it was lifted from "Disneyland Around the Seasons", BEFORE the post-1967 Tomorrowland opened!

  • This is awesome, Tomorrowland 2012 here go!

  • Futuristic style changes all the time, so I actually think it was brilliant to re-do Tomorrowland into its current retro-futuristic style, a design sensibility that keeps its appeal. Otherwise, trying to guess the future is a never-ending project, and things quickly become outdated and silly-looking.

  • This was a time when Americans were more fascinated with innovation, technological progress and human achievement, unlike today where all we care about are sex scandals, diet plans and Snooki's new boobs.

  • PEOPLEMOVER!!! Bring it back PLEASE!

  • They had an effin jetpack. wow

  • Look for me at 6:40!

  • @ClyneDDW exactly,. icky, i'm never going back either,.

  • They ruined it. I decided years ago that I was never going back. I went there with my parents the same year it opened and watched it change until I graduated college. Last time I was there was 1980. Why go back when your childhood memories are wiped out?

  • @pumasgoya I'll tell ya what they were thinking. they were only thinking about money. that's it. get rid of the classic DISNEY rides and bring in rides that;s not Disney or Disney related. oh well nothing we can do about it. they won't listen to the guests at the park. they only care about money.
