ABC production nor the judges didn't need to do Jennifer any favor whatsoever. She can dance amazingly, with minimal dance background compared to the other prior celebrities. Hands down she's the best dancer ever on DWTS! She's blessed with a great deal of natural talent, beauty & amazing personality.It's hard not to love her! She & Derek had such an amazing chemistry that translated to memorable fantastic performances! No one could & can top these 2!!!

I'm sure that the other professional male dancers during DWTS season 11 all had wished they had Jennifer Grey as dancing partner. And I'm sure, too, that if Derek were asked in his twilight years what's the most memorable moments he'd ever had on DWTS he would say, "Dancing with Jennifer Grey."

@whill1031 only heard of NIcole & Kelly O asking for specific pros..In terms of the pros being bigger than the STARS. I agree, but then again it depends on who the STAR is.

@missingyou90s Derek doesn't always get the best dancers . Some people are just really good teachers. Derek knows how to capitalize on his parttners strengths, and hide their weaknesses. A lot of the other pros have had partners with a lot of potential but they have failed to bring it out. Ricki was not the best dancer in season 13 at the start,but Derek taught her well and she improved a lot. He said Joanna was like a piece of wood at first,but she got better,etc.

@luv2dnce722 Go out and do some research, trust me, you'll find out Jennifer and Ricki asked for him too. You'll also find that Kelly O asked for someone who "wouldn't put up with any of her crap", so she got Louis, when she could've easily gotten Mark. There's several other instances, but I can't name them off the top of my head. It makes you kinda remember that sometimes the pros are bigger celebs than the "stars," LOL.

@missingyou90s Yeah, I remember celebs have all requested Maks, Derek, Mark, Kym, Cheryl, I'm sure the other pros have been asked for. Usually if the producers really want a certain stars they'll definitely try to give them who they want.

@missingyou90s Well keep this in mind, Nicole, Jennifer, and Ricki all asked for him specifically. And as for Jennie, Shannon, Brooke Burke, Lil'Kim, and Joanna, that's all hard work, great teaching, and a little bit of natural ability. I think Derek just knows how to make his partners shine, and probably even make them look better than they actually are.

Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke danced paso doble to the same music and I think their choreography was better than Derek's and Jennifer's.
