This is an old video I found whilst cleaning out a drawer full of stuff. I remember watching the display with a lump in my throat

  • i to, will always remember the last day that this magnificent beast flew, at Fairford R.I.A.T in the year 1992 what i display that it put on that day, with the bomb bay doors open and the sign of FAREWELL written in big black ink. It will stay in my mind till the day i pass away. Thanks to all the millions of people including myself n family whom have contributed so much in the restoration of this VULCAN Bomber and all the volanteers help to restore it to its magnificent beauty.

  • I agree in the air is its home, I was their at Cranfield in 1992 that was the first and last flight I had witnessed of this true " V" bomber, its great to think that so many ordinary people and volunteers have donated to get this aircraft air worthy so I can enjoy seing her fly again at Cosford in 2011

  • Thank God she's back in the air where she belongs.

  • She flew over the house this afternoon and it struck me that I hadn't seen her since Cranfield in 1992 - I remember shedding atear as she did the pass with the bomb bay doors open with 'Farewell' written inside. Thank you so much for posting this!
