Backed by Animal Legal Defense Fund attorneys, Kentucky citizens are filing concurrent lawsuits in Estill and Robertson Counties, taking their local governments to task for failing to provide basic, humane conditions for homeless dogs and cats, as mandated by Kentucky's Humane Shelter Law. i live in kentucky and my family donated and volunteers at 3 of our local animal shelters and we help keep them clean and make sure all the animals have a chance to find a home.

That is so sad ... How can people do things like that to those animals... that is just so evil :(

Please send someone to check Clay Country ..particularly Manchester Kentucky. They shoot them for euthanization in these areas.

Neuter your animals people! Then there won't be extra dogs, cats, or horses basically being sentenced to death because there aren't enough homes for them! Don't make a animal have babies to see the wonders of birth! Watch animal planet, they have pleanty of it!
If you adopt a animal make sure to run by your personal vet before taking it home and have a full evaluation. Shelters aren't always clean.
Sad thing is,even if they're arrested they'll be treated better than the animals were.

And I thought my nearby shelter was fairly barbaric... PLEASE, if you live in Kentucky adopt all those animals, foster them! Aw, that "boss" of theirs deserves to sit in a smelly, sweltering SHACK with nothing to eat or drink instead of Jail. Those dogs are better off on the streets than there
