Would we be able to make as much money as we do now from a national sales tax? I really think the national sales tax is a fair tax, even on food, just because poor families won't have to pay any income tax, they'll have extra money.

No I don't think so , tack on your state and county taxes which is 8% where I'm at.
That's 31% , and if you believe the other studies thats:
34 + 8 = 42 % on everything including food ?

What about the state tax? Would a NST also replace the state tax? because it did wouldn't states have no source of revenue and go bankrupt.
