The City of Richmond, KY government is considering the layoffs of an unspecified number of firefighters in order to gain "a little breathing room for things like repairs to police cruisers" said City Manager Jimmy Howard.
Where are our leaders priorities?!
Please call City Hall and tell the Mayor and commission this should NOT be an option and that public safety is a priority in Richmond!

It is unfortunate that budget cuts are necessary. The Police Department and Fire Department are important to our community. In most of the pictures I also saw Richmond City Police Officers along with the Fire Department. The crashed Richmond City Police cruiser was hit by a Richmond City Fire Truck..........
