  • This is the most beautiful Mazeppa I ever heard in my life.

19 years have past since his death on June 9, 1991, he still remains strongly on our minds and in our hearts. Maestro Arrau and his music will live with us forever.

!!!! Quando il "fuoco sacro" tiene sveglia l'energia interiore attraverso l'entusiasmo dell'ispirazione !!!

  • I can't wait for the day that I learn this masterpiece

  • @ann03071874 More likely is that Liszt is now totally misrepresented and unfortunately has become unknown in his true essence.

  • @ann03071874 I don't agree, the Arrau's understandig over the Trascendental Etudes was far better than any other's . Arrau played TE since 11, his education was directed by one of the most prized Liszt's pupils, Martin Krause, so I have the full conviction that this is the correct way to interpret this work, although this is not the way that today pianists do.

  • Simplemente maravillosa...

  • @ToxicLabProductions Its not the best, I do agree. However he does play the 8th, 10th, 12th amazingly!

  • This is beautiful, but not as good as Miro Kari's interpretation, and he is something like 17.. wow! I've heard him play Mazeppa at a piano concert in Finland, there were others playing, but different pieces and this was better than anything else there! I can't describe it with words...

  • @JohnChanJohnChan Most think No. 5, Feux Follets, is harder. But I'm not for sure.
