The Veteran's Administration announced that it will facilitate access to health benefits for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. CBS News' David Martin reports from the Pentagon.
I was homeless three times after I got home from deployment. It took over two years to get benefits. If it wasn't for the VA I would be homeless,in jail, or dead.
it took me 3 years to get benefits... but the down side is that i cannot get life insurance benefits because i didnt fill out the paperwork within a certain time frame... i hate my meds... they make me shake and if i kill myself my wife will be left high and dry... its a loose loose situation... yea, the 2900 a month isnt bad but its tough not being able to work... all i can do is volunteer and they still frown upon that... life sucks...
Hopefully the VA is making it easier for vets to get the help they need.
