This is an unedited video of what happens when local police overstep their boundaries. The video shows Salem, NH police arresting 4 of my family members and the best man's mother at a post-wedding get-together at the Margaritas/Holiday Inn in Salem. They were arrested for "trespassing, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest".... you be the judge.

The video starts abruptly which things escalated rather quickly. I apologize for the shakiness and some blurred out shots since this was recorded on my Iphone in my dress shirt pocket while not trying to get arrested myself.

As a precursor, my cousin got married at the Searles Castle at Windham and most of the family had booked a room at the Margaritas/Holiday Inn in Salem were everybody could meet up for a post celebration. The Margaritas knew a week before that a large group of people from the wedding would be coming in for drinks/food.

I took a shuttle from the Searles Castle to the Margaritas/Holiday Inn and I walked into the Margaritas by myself. I noticed about 10 other friends and family from the wedding inside the bar which a waitress had stopped me since they were "over capacity". I acknowledged that since it was quite crowded.

About a minute went by and the best man of the groom, his sister, and their 52 year old mother started walking out by me. I asked why they were leaving and they said that the "wedding was cut-off" from all liquor. Apparently Margaritas served them some drinks and a little bit after took back their half full drinks after paying for them! I did not understand why Margaritas would do this since no one seemed visibly intoxicated nor were they being out of line. Margaritas also knew a week beforehand that a large group from a wedding would be staying at the Holiday Inn adjacent to the restaurant so no one would be driving! Everyone just wanted to have a good time.

So as the best man, his sister, and the 52 year old mother start talking to me, a cop is in the door way to leave the bar and touches the mother. The 52 year old mother starts getting upset and waving her finger in the cops face repeating over "Dont you touch me, dont you touch me". I will admit the cop kept his ground and cool for a moment, but eventually he snapped way over the line. He screamed at her, told her she was going to jail, swung her around and pushed her violently out the doors toward the lobby and parking lot leaving Margaritas. I followed them which he threw her on a couch to the side and this is were I start recording the video...

I call this the Margaritas Massacre.

Maybe this video will do better. Its an edited video that is brightened, a little easier to hear, and even has an additional video added on at the end that someone else taped. Lets continue a discussion on the new video since its clearly much better and does not hurt your neck to watch/have to tilt your monitor.

Yes corran that is a valid point. I have worked in restaurants all my life and have been many situations when serving alcohol to some of my guests was in question and would get the decision from my manager (to save my own ass). I am sure the law for NH is similar to MA and probably the other 48 states which Margaritas made their own judgment on. I may not agree with this decision since I never made it in the bar, but I never saw the specific event so I cant speak truthfully here.

Well banning you wouldnt do much, Its quite easy to make a new account as your friends/police showed. I have a feeling youtube comments will not hold up in court so really it does not matter what you, me, or anyone says. I just want to make sure the facts are straight and people see this video for what it is and not adding their own bias. Its obviously hard not to do that (for me my family got arrested and you corran have some connection for the other party) Ultimately the law will decide

I should have stepped right in front of the cop and stopped them! Maybe even restrain them myself! or is that obstruction of justice? That cant be a law right? I am sure you would know corran! it is obvious you do not like cops.  this woman was drunk and asked to leave and refused. maybe if her family handled the situation instead of ignoring her then crying when the cops came it would not have happened. i think you may need to take responsibility for yourself as well.

salem police ought to be ashamed of themselves, they really are some of the least professional cops in the country. I really hope this gets national attention. This just goes to show that in a quiet town cops get bored and want "action", clearly this cop hasnt been laid in a while and all his roids that he takes before hitting the SAC made him hit an old woman.
