Hey Jersey Boy, Ti Amo

This is such a great version.

I remember listening to this show as it was happening. It was broadcast worldwide on FM radio. A big thing in those days.

Simply the best tune from album Tunnel of love.

So this what summer in Stockholm is like! This is nice! Nice! I got the sun out here today. All the girls got their summer clothes on. And we're just singing for everybody back on the beach on New Jersey, alright?
Future songs: "Waiting on a Sunny Day" and "Girls in Their Summer Clothes". How funny is that?

Ya know... funny you should say that because I look through the songs on TRACKS and wonder why some of them never made it. Guess there's only so much room. At the end of the day it, though, the vast library of songs is a testament to the man's songwriting ability.

You bet. Maybe he was just oversensitive to some of them. Maybe he wasn't ready for some of them. But i agree with you. He writes songs that he throws away that would be another band's or artist's best song. It's really something else. There's no one with a better quality AND quantity of sonwriting ability.

Roulette! That's right! This was the first time I ever heard that song. Great effin' song. If I remember correctly they only did the first "set" of that concert. It was so cool knowing he's across the world in Sweden LIVE while we were listening.

You're right, they only did the first set. The last song that we heard was Chimes of Freedom I believe. If I were Van Zandt I would've been all over Bruce to put Roulette on The River. But maybe we think of Roulette as being even better because it has that more private unkown feeling.

Wow! Thanks for posting this! I listened to this on 4th of July LIVE on WNEW in 1988 Awesome. I get chills when ever I hear this...

You're welcome. A really good unknown song. They had some really clear audio for that WNEW station. Glad they did those. I forget but I think I posted Roulette from that show up on here as well.
