Kelly Calvin is a fictional character. I have been creating her since 2000 on every game that had a decent character creator. Her name and appearance is completely made up. Anyone's resemblance to her in name, appearance, or manner of any kind, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.

This video will explain all abilities for SvR09. For each ability, I explain what it does, how to get it, the pros and cons of each, and rate on a 5-star scale based on expertise and years of experience playing the Smackdown games. Most abilities are recycled from previous games.

***** Update 3/23/09:

Getting dirty pin before possum pin will prevent you from getting possum pin. However, getting possum pin before dirty pin will not affect anything. This is good to know if you plan on having both abilities.

***** Update 4/4/09:

To get durability:

Xbox 360: Defeat a superstar with 20 OVR higher than you with both players in two parts orange.

PS3: After the patch, defeat a superstar who has at least 80 OVR with both players in two parts orange.

***** Update 8/11/09:

1) Possum pin makes it hard for you to reverse ground grapples. This ability is glitched. Many players have brought this to my attention.

Being able to do 1 or 2 possum pins in a match does not justify the 10 ground grapples you couldn't reverse. If you have this ability, it is recommended that you restart career mode and avoid it.

Thanks to Slateboard for reminding me of this.

2) Hardcore resurrection (or bloodshed) is slightly glitched on PS3. Many users have reported that doing the requirements does not guarantee this ability.

Also, you might not get this ability if you already have 5 abilities, and then you earn 2 abilities in your next match (one of which is hardcore resurrection). Whether you select to accept or deny this ability does not matter, since the game will probably not give it to you.

This happens on PS3 because of the option to accept or deny abilities. Thanks to all the users who reported this.
