The Girl Next Door (A Jonas Brothers School Series) Episode 79

**The next morning**

Kevin and Nick had covered for Joe by saying that he stayed up sick all night and he didnt want to get up. Which, in their defense, wasnt technically a lie. Whenever Joe did wake up, he would be sick from getting drunk the night before. He woke up to a gloomy day outside. Nothing but rain and cloudy skies. Kinda like how his heart had been feeling for awhile. He went up to his dresser and took out a pair of white skinny jeans and sliding them on, not bothering to put on a shirt. He walked over to the window and stared out at the depressing day. As he stood there, he began to imagine that she was back, and standing in this very room with him.

**Joe's imagination**

He could feel her hands winding around his waist and running up his chest, hugging him close to her body. Chills went down his spine as he could feel her breathing against his bare back. Her lips stopped at his neck, leaving a trail of kisses along his neck. He turned around so that he could face her, but when he turned around, he saw nothing but an empty room.

**End of imagination**

Joe: (letting out a huge sigh and letting his forehead rest against the window) Where are you Jen?

It wasnt long after until a major headache pierced his mind, and his stomach started throbbing in pain. He could feel it coming, the hangover.

Joe: Crap (running into the bathroom)

As he walked out the bathroom, wiping his mouth, the phone began to ring. He ran down the stairs to answer it.

Joe: Hello?
?: Hi, who is this?
Joe: Joseph Jonas
?: Is your mothers name Denise?
Joe: Yes, why?
?: Oh good then this is the right number, im David, the police cheif
Joe: Oh, if you dont mind my asking, why are you calling my house?
PC: This was the number that was put down if anything came up about the missing person your mother filed
Joe: Huh?
PC: Ya, it says here that she filed a young girl named Jennifer
Joe: (eyes getting big) Y-ya, she's been gone for almost 9 months
PC: Well we've found something that may be of interest to you
Joe: Im listening
PC: We found the man that kidnapped her, Mark?
Joe: Ya, ya thats the guy
PC: Yes, we found him dead actually. He comitted suicide after trying to kill someone
Joe: (getting a deep pain in his stomach, fearing the worst) W-who did he try to kill?
PC: Jennifer
Joe: Wait how do you know
PC: We found her
Joe: (feeling his breath cut off)
