This is Montu at Busch Gardens Africa. It's a steel inverted roller coaster from B&M and is America's longest Inverted roller coaster. It's been in the top ten of the steel catagory ever since it opened on May 16, 1996. It's also the top rated inverted coaster in the world according to Amusement Today's Golden Ticket ranking for Best steel roller coaster.

Montu is also where the Immelman and Batwing inversion element's first made their appearance on an inverted roller coaster. The Immelman was the first of it's kind on any roller coaster and comes right after the tunnel which is preceeded by the first loop. The Batwing is most commonly called a Pretzel Loop on a standard sit down roller coaster. It is located after the Barrel Roll and before the block brakes also known as the mid course brake run.

  • @RollercoasterGEEK100 I'm hoping to get to England sooner or later, I just have to wait till the American Dollar gets a bit stronger and the economy on a whole does the same thing so I can bank some cash to come over. I've added Thorpe Park to my list of parks to visit now that Swarm is open there. The other two are Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Alton Towers.

  • @fourquarter Actually Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN is building theirs and it'll be open this year. The one I'd like to ride is The Swarm at Thorpe Park in England.

  • @leeclaxton idk the dragon challenge was awesome but montu is better

  • @krazy8ight Absolutely, Montu is the best inverted coaster I've ridden. Raptor at CP would be my second best

  • Which is better? Busch Gardens Africa or Universal Studios Orlando

  • @MistofWonder445 If you're including Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida (they're actually two seperate parks in the same loaction) then Universal Studios is better as they have better non coaster rides. But if you're going for the park that has the better coasters then Busch Gardens is better.

  • the drop on here isnt even a good b&m drop!

  • @woodencoasterfan I live in england, and the swarm has been tested and it looks really good and fast, so you better get to england fast!

  • USA's coaster climate changes this year with X-Flight at Six Flags Great America/Chicago. Check out the Youtube cg footage of the crazy wing coaster we can see them building....only 1 in North America

  • im going to florida next year might go to tampa or orlando

  • @woodencoasterfan I totally agree. Montu is my favorite invert and 2nd to Nitro on my favorite roller coaster list. My only complaint about Montu is that it has the trims before entering the batwing, shame they can't let coasters run full force anymore...

  • front row far left is the best seat.

  • Dude you are the best, I like how you record this because it actually shows you the roller coaster from a different view beside the track right in front with people's voice in the background.. You actually show the twist and turns in the roller coaster. Double like!!!

  • Nice Off ride footage I CNT W8 2 RIDE THIS CUZ IM DYING 2 RIDE IT!! Rlly hope i can this summer since im in FL
