Italo, I have a cabin where I fish for bigger panfish, and smaller bass. I want to purchase a rod that can handle both panfish, and the occasional bass, would a light action rod be better than an ultralight?

@gowolves4 An ideal outfit is the Rapala Avantis light-action combo. I use it for big panfish and smaller gamefish and it works great...God bless you, Italo

My experience has been that braided line that lightweight will end up full of wind knots in no time.

@CaneFu You are correct for most braided lines that are used quite a bit. With most braids, the more you use them, the limper they get and they also loose 40% of their strength. Sufix's new 832 braid has one strand of Gore material in it and even after extensive use it does not loose it's "integrity" (does not go limp), and therefore does not give you those "wind-knots". Check it out. It is the best braid on the market...God bless you, Italo

Where can i find the split cork handle rod? Thanks

@TheRol95 Just go to the Rapala.ca site and click on the 2011 Catalog to look at the "split-grip" fishing rod models. After that I would suggest you either emial or phone Normark Canada (people that distribute Rapala in Canada) and see where you can purchase them....God bless you, Italo
