Any mixture becomes toxic eventually but the upper limit is generally regarded as a partial pressure of O2 of 1.6 bar. Pure oxygen can therefore only be used to a depth of 6 metres, not 66. Beyond 6m you will need air, nitrox, heliox or trimix where the ppO2 can be kept at the 'working' limit of 1.4 bar ppO2.

plus nitrox doesn't dry your mouth and lungs out like normal air from what i hear
