CRUISING ON A JONAS BROTHERS LOVE STORY chp 64

That night

[Everyone was gathered around the tables the waiters had put together for them. Mr. and Mrs. Jonas, Kevin, Joe, Nick, Frankie, Sam, Sheryll, and Sarah were eating dinner]
MRS JONAS: What have you kids been doing all day?
KEVIN: Swimming.
NICK: Eating.
KEVIN: Swimming.
JOE: Shopping.
KEVIN: Swimming.
FRANKIE: Playing
JOE: Oh and we took pictures with Mickey and Goofy.
MR JONAS: What about you, girls? Are you having fun?
SHERYLL: Tons. This cruise is way more fun than the last one.
SARAH: And it's free.
JOE: The perks of being celebrities.
SAM: The perks of being friends with celebrities.
MRS JONAS: What are you plans for tomorrow?
JOE: To find Minnie. Sheryll and I looked everywhere for her!
KEVIN: You guys went looking for Minnie?
JOE: We wanted to take a picture with her and Mickey. Duh.
MRS JONAS: Why don't we all go watch that play with the princess. The one with the red hair and the green tail.
SARAH: The Little Mermaid.
MRS JONAS: Yeah.
[They boys groaned including Mr. Jonas. The girls laughed at the look on their faces]
NICK: Mom.
KEVIN: That's for girls.
FRANKIE: Yeah. It's for little girls.
MRS JONAS: You went with me last time to watch Cinder—
FRANKIE: Mom!
MR JONAS: Why don't we just let the kids hang out tomorrow? We need a little quality time for ourselves. They can baby sit Frankie tomorrow.
MRS JONAS: Oh, all right.
NICK: Joe will baby sit.
JOE: Why me?
NICK: Cause I don't want Frankie putting anymore moves on Sarah.
[Everybody laughed except Frankie, who was glaring at Nick. At the end of dinner Mr. and Mrs. Jonas and Frankie headed to their room]
SAM: I'm so tired. I think I'm going to bed now, too.
KEVIN: I'll walk you to your room.
[Sam didn't have the energy to tell him no, and she didn't want to walk alone. The others said good night]
NICK: If I don't get up now, I'll probably fall asleep in this chair.
JOE: I don't doubt that.
NICK: Are you heading to your room, too?
SARAH: [Yawning] Yeah.
[Nick helped Sarah out of her chair and they headed toward her room]
JOE: Can we talk for a minute?
SHERYLL: Yeah, sure.
[Joe helped Sheryll out of her chair and they walked to the front of the ship. The breeze ruffled Sheryll's hair and the moon put a twinkle in her eye. Joe couldn't help but put his arms around her]
JOE: Sheryll. Where are you going to go after high school?
SHERYLL: What? That's random.
[She turned to face him]
JOE: Well, I heard Sam wants to go to Boston. What about you?
[Sheryll almost laughed]
SHERYLL: I'm not going anywhere, Joe. Well nowhere far.
JOE: So you're definitely not going away?
SHERYLL: No. Of course not.
JOE: Good. Do you promise?
SHERYLL: [Smiling] I promise.
[Joe's lips touched hers and she knew who she never wanted to live without]
JOE: You should go to sleep now. Who knows what time you'll wake up tomorrow.
[Joe's room was closer, so Sheryll insisted that she could make it the rest of the way, and it was getting late]
JOE: Good night.
SHERYLL: Night.
[Sheryll called over her shoulder]

[Meanwhile Nick and Frankie had to go back to Sarah's room to give her her cell phone which he forgot to give back. As the two of them turned the corner, Nick remembered she had his cellphone and went to get it]
NICK: Frankie, wait right here ok. I just need to get something from Sarah really quick.
FRANKIE: Ok, fine. But hurry up. I'm sleepy.
[When Nick turned his back, Frankie walked to the vending machine farther down the hallway to get a snack]

[Sheryll was walking to her room, when she saw someone walking in the opposite direction. It was Kevin coming back from walking Sam to her room, a few doors down. Kevin and Sheryll stood there for a moment, not knowing if they should talk. But then Sheryll turned toward her door and started opening it. Kevin sighed and kept walking]
SHERYLL: Wait Kevin.
[Kevin turned back around]
KEVIN: Hey.
SHERYLL: Hey... I heard you and Sam talked the other day.
KEVIN: Yeah, we did.
SHERYLL: So... are you two together again?
KEVIN: Together? No. Sam and I are just friends. That's all.
SHERYLL: Oh.
[Sheryll seemed to breath a sigh of relief]
KEVIN: [Joking] Any chance of you and Joe breaking up.
[Sheryll almost laughed]
KEVIN: I didn't think so.
SHERYLL: I'm sorry if I was mean the other day, when I yelled at you. I just—
KEVIN: It's ok. I understand.
[All of a sudden they found themselves close to each other. Kevin leaned forward to try to kiss her. But she turned her head]
SHERYLL: Kevin.
KEVIN: Oh. I'm sorry.
[He walked off so quickly he missed Frankie hiding around the corner, who heard and saw everything]
