@Dreamscapevirus in the three and a half years since i posted this recording, i use an eq in front of the preamp with boosted mids, and another one in the effects loop after the preamp also with boosted mids. i vary the mid knob on the amp between 11:00 and 2:00 depending on the room and it sounds much better in person than the pinhole mic on my digital camera captured in this post.
