Baragan seems like the most powerful of the Espada to me. Starrk and Yammy simply have more raw spiritual energy which gives them a higher rank than Baragan. His abilities border on the insane since just about nothing can hit him due to his powers, and his ability to age things affects everything, even himself. My money would be on Baragan in any fair fight, the only way to beat him is basically to "cheat."

@Vash987 Not exactly. Personally I'm a little iffy on the specifics, but the Espada's ranks are determined by raw spiritual power, not their actual strength.

no dude, the concept would suggest that.however there is no spirit embodied with their swords....when a hollow becomes an arrancar it is split between a body and a sword. when the sword is released they retain characteristics of their former selves making them more powerful...that is all.

I think Barragan is the strongest, not really any proove that the Espada were numered for who's stronger then the other. More like who can cause more destruction.
