Video of a clock who's inner-workings have seen better days. The poor old thing's chimes, over time, have become so warped and, therefore, out of tune that it is impossible to discern what, in fact, the original melodies were. All that aside, this little stalwart of human engineering merrily chimes away each and every hour, day after day, blissfully unaware of how poorly it carries a tune.

  • It kind of sounds like Balinese gamelan! Too funny.

  • Poor thing needs some tlc my friend.

  • what you have is a valuable clock in westminster chime and the older whittington chime.

please get it fixed and your love the clock.

in england this clock would go for 500 $ if serviced

  • I could fix that clock in one afternoon. The hammers have been bent at some time.

  • That is NOT FUNNY AT ALL!!!!!!!! You need to adjust the hammers now!!!

  • Haha!!!! Man thats one sad sounding clock! Kinda sounds creepy in some odd way! Lol!!

  • a clock like that, would get a good home in my collection, I have a lot that started out sounding crappy, but I've fixed them up, usually it's just the hammers that need adjusting, and possibly new rods, it sounds like what's happening, the rods are being mutied by the hammers not bouncing far enough up after striking it also sounds like the second to lowest note is being hit instead of the lowest one, giving that double note thing in places, the clock is in the F major scale, good luck! Kriss

  • the clock you guys have, just needs 8 new rods, it's chimes are westminster, whittington, and st michael, by the sound of it, there is only 1 note that's out of tune, and it's possible, with new rods, you could fix it I collect clocks and have a kean ear for chime melodies. if you were in the UK, I would gladly salvage it and make it run again, it wouldn't take a lot.
