  • Hey, Im trying to get in shape for olympic distance triathlon. If you are training for one of those. Could you tell me how much you run, swim, bike? distance...

  • I just finished my very first triathlon this past Sunday. It was a sprint distance. I am 52 so I have to start shorter. So my training was according to the sprint. My next will be Olympic distance. At any rate, I would train at distances a bit longer than each event and also do bricks.

  • Good Luck! I just started my P90X journey.

  • Good luck to you too! You won't be disappointed.

  • Nice. I'm using P90X and X+ to supplement my triathlon training as well. I end up doing doubles a few days a week, but I love it. I've really found that yoga has been so helpful. I really bailed on yoga and strength training towards the end of last year. BIG MISTAKE. I'm back on the weights and yoga and I feel stronger than ever.

    Keep bringing it!!!

  • Thanks. I am just a beginner with the triathlon training. I don't even run my first one until next month... YIKES! While I have cut back a bit on the strength training, I am still doing it. Anyway, thanks for stopping by.

  • I just started last year. Something to keep me occupied after P90X+ was over. I'm doing Tempe International on May 17th, another sprint mid-June and then my A race is the San Diego International on June 28th. It is an awesome race. I hope to do a half-iron in the fall, but I'm just not sure I have the time needed to train for those distances. For now, I'm really happy doing Olympic/International distances.

    Stay hungry.

    Dave

  • Big Mahalo!!!

  • Great job you are very dedicated and I know you will do well come triathlon day looking forward to following your progress.
