I just started last year. Something to keep me occupied after P90X+ was over. I'm doing Tempe International on May 17th, another sprint mid-June and then my A race is the San Diego International on June 28th. It is an awesome race. I hope to do a half-iron in the fall, but I'm just not sure I have the time needed to train for those distances. For now, I'm really happy doing Olympic/International distances.
Stay hungry.

Hey, Im trying to get in shape for olympic distance triathlon. If you are training for one of those. Could you tell me how much you run, swim, bike? distance...

I just finished my very first triathlon this past Sunday. It was a sprint distance. I am 52 so I have to start shorter. So my training was according to the sprint. My next will be Olympic distance. At any rate, I would train at distances a bit longer than each event and also do bricks.

Nice. I'm using P90X and X+ to supplement my triathlon training as well. I end up doing doubles a few days a week, but I love it. I've really found that yoga has been so helpful. I really bailed on yoga and strength training towards the end of last year. BIG MISTAKE. I'm back on the weights and yoga and I feel stronger than ever.
Keep bringing it!!!

Thanks. I am just a beginner with the triathlon training. I don't even run my first one until next month... YIKES! While I have cut back a bit on the strength training, I am still doing it. Anyway, thanks for stopping by.
