Motorola's re-living the past - or so it seems with all of these product names! The manufacturer took the opportunity at CES 2012 to release the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX, a minor bump up from the recently released DROID RAZR. Though it offers the same 1.2 GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display, and 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, it takes it a step further with a gigantic 3,300 mAh battery that's supposed to last for 21 hours of talk time.

the hump on the top holds the phone in place when you text with one hand, specially when driving. not saying it is safe to do so!

and the battery is improved, doesn't mean the first one was fuck up or anything. if so then all the 4Gs are fuck up cause they drain battery so fast. RAZR lasted like most other phones in the market.

@jeff30458 yup that is why you just wait for your next upgrade so it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg lol. I mean you might not be able to keep "up to date" but I mean really do you really need the absolute newest phone out? I just wait for my free upgrade and it has suited me just fine.

@smileyboi24 by now, you just have to accept that when you buy a phone, a better one is going to come out 2 months later. It's happened to me with my last 2 upgrades. I got the droid 2 then within 2 months they had the droid 2 global. Last thing I got was the bionic and then within 2 months the razr had came out.

Dammitt I got the razr in December n less in four months later they come out razr maxx I like the new look n more battery life I better be able to upgrade to maxx but I doubt it cuz I only Had the razr four months f ucking Verizon SMH!!!

@SuperCyberGangsta Thank you. I was actually wonder if that was the case. I did confirm, with Verizon, that the phone would be automatically updated to 4.0 once Motorola releases it for the Razr Maxx. (Galaxy Nexus is the only Verizon phone (Samsung) currently running the 4.0 ICS)

@JetMech72 The razr maxx is already "hardware ready" for the upcoming android OS releases. The thing is, there are very few 3rd party apps that are ready for the newer OS's (Jelly, and I forgot the other one that's on the Galaxy Nexus only right now). But the thing is, it'll be like getting a new phone at least twice because U get the razr then in a couple of mths the new OS is sent to the phone. As far as the scheming to sell phones, that's an unfortunate tactic of most phone providers
