http://www.windynation.com/ This is a short video showing our Suntura Solar Tracker. The Suntura Solar Tracker is a dual axis solar tracker which follows the sun from sunrise to sunset. By following the sun, the Suntura Solar Tracker can increase solar panel efficiency by up to 40%.

  • Yes, on our website. We are currently redesigning our trackers. We will have larger tracker, which will be able to hold at least 1000 Watts of solar panels, available in the late Spring of 2012.

  • It looks great, but it also seems a little flimsy. How does it hold up to sudden wind gusts...?

Also, what is it's weight capacity? I plan to build 8 solar panels that are quite large. Could this system handle larger panels (12' X 12') ...?

  • @Prancinglion1 It is not flimsy. It can take 65 mph wind gusts according to our real world tests and engineering calculations.

This tracker can only handle 400 Watts of solar. We will have a new tracker in the late Spring of 2012 that can handle at least 1000 Watts of solar .... possibly 1400 Watts.

  • It is very nice, but I live in Tornado alley, so I have a special need : ) There is a commercial one from Spain puts the panels in a horizontal position.

  • @urgentcareguy3 Well, if it is a tornado, then it does not matter. Everything is going to be destroyed.

  • Does it shift positions in high wind conditions?

  • @urgentcareguy3 No, but there are manual controllers that will allow you to do this. It is designed to handle ~65 mph gusts which is a lot of wind for a structure to receive that is only ~8 ft off the ground.

  • Do you sell these without the panels? I have 8 panels that I've been wanting to put on a tracker or ground/tilt mount system, right now they are on wood racks I built, but they are 4 years old and the wood eventually I'm sure will break down.
