19 Year old Kimberley gets constant mouth ulcers which are a normal occurrence but not in such high quantities. Dr Christian swabs Kimberley's mouth for testing, predicting the herpes virus, but also checking for more severe underlying conditions. When all tests come back clear Recurrent Abscess Ulcers are diagnosed and anti-inflammatory tablets are diagnosed. Weeks later a happy Kimberley's notes that she's only had two ulcers in recent weeks compared with the 8 or 9 she had grown used to in a similar time frame.
This new series explores the conditions and ailments that leave many of us a little red-faced and aims to de-stigmatise common complaints. Three doctors -- Dawn Harper, Christian Jessen and Pixie McKenna -- will be throwing open the doors of the clinic in a bid to tackle each condition head on, while attempting to take away the sting of shame.
