HP Effect - Sleight of Hand

This was my final for Intro to Animation, Spring 2007 at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. By now, it's obvious I'm a big fan of HP's advertising campaigns and the work of Motion Theory. Of course, this was inspired by the HP Hands campaign, one of my absolute favorites.

Anyway, enjoy~

This was done using Adobe After Effects, Alias Maya, Macromedia Flash, and Final Cut Pro.

is good. but why dont u try doint somehitng harder.. as magic as harry potter and those.. things.. i think is a very hard proof to past. make a scene as hp's ..

haha, well, i think you're using the term "magic" rather loosely here. what i have an actual interest in is performance magic, sleights and street magic and whatnot. harry potter magic is... well... not... real.

and i'm personally not a fan of harry potter, but they do have pretty nice special effects

Rubik Cube trick looks great but I wonder what if it's only three sides that you see, are in order and the other three are not, and those are the once that you saw before the throw.

Just a food for though.

haha, kudos~ but the way I did it, I could have spun the cube around to show all sides solved. there is more than one version of this effect out there though
