  • WTF? Were you only allowed to go 80 mph? You didn't even pass anybody! I go faster than that in my driveway with my Sky RL. I'm guessing you had restrictions. Not even any drifting?

  • Passing was against the rules. There was also a pace car at the front. The key was to let the pace car get far enough ahead so you could go fast. It's difficult to tell from the video, but we actually hit 130mph and never got out of 4th gear. By the time you hit that speed you had to slow down for the corner. We also were running up the tail of the car in front of us.

The last thing I wanted to do was explain to the insurance company why the car they insure was plastered on the wall!

  • Were you allowed to pass? I know it wasn't a race, but was curious on what the rules were for you on that day.

  • The rules were that we couldn't pass the pace car. We let the pace car get a long head start so that wasn't a problem.

  • The car being followed was a supped up pontiac GTO

  • Be sure to bring a better camera the next time you take such a sexy car out for a spin.

  • I agree. In addition, the Sky is a convertable and the top was down... This made for alot of wind noise that made the sound distort. There is alot of wind and noise going full blast on a race track with the top down! The little mic on the camera couldn't handle it very well.

  • sounds like a gto in front of you....

  • I wish they hard a removable hardtop or a convertable hardtop for the sky. Also, to put a loud BOV on it so you can here the turbo let off.

  • What does one have to do to be allowed to drive their car in the Homestead speedway.? Do you pay? Do you have to be associated with a car club? Please advise. Thanks

  • it would be faster with the top up top down is ALOT of drag.
