Command And Conquer 3 Running On Linux (Gentoo) With Cedega (HD)

This is Command and Conquer 3 under Gentoo Linux using cedega. I recorded this with ffmpeg. ffmpeg is providing a big improvement to my videos over my previous recording methods. It is resulting in smoother video and audio that stays synced throughout. Currently x11grab will paint a white mouse cursor which sticks to the middle of the screen while running a game and you will not get your actual desktop icon or a games icon. In order to get the real icon I had to add support to the code. I will be submitting a patch to the ffmpeg devs for this feature.

@CaraMello21 The cedega games database shows it as working and the wine appdb also shows it as working. You should probably give it a go with wine.

@cncmasterw I think when someone keeps the context of the conversation in mind they don't perceive the comment as you did. It was simply a statement of fact. I don't care for famboyism. Traditionally Nvidia support on Linux has been much better than ATI. Performance was better with Nvidia when using comparable cards and a lot of APi was better supported. Things have been improving greatly for ATI support in Linux over the last couple of years. They could erase the gap. Anyway, no harm no foul.

@cncmasterw What are you talking about? That comment was in no way a statement on ATI hardware vs. Nvidia hardware. It was in reference to 1) The state of the Nvidia Linux drivers versus the ATI Linux driver (especially at that time) and 2) How well cedega supported ATI cards. As someone who took part in cedega beta for years I can tell you there definitely was a difference. So before making a fool of yourself you might want to do a little research of your own.
