@darkmysterii was originaly designed as a anti tank weapon in the 1930s (like the M-2) but by the end of WW2 it was useles against tanks but is still pretty good at taking out pretty much anything els trucks people low flying aircraft most buildings etc the russians phased it out of service in the 70s but is still verry popular in the third world china also made a copy that i think they might still make

wouldnt want to get hit by that thing!

@wild50gunner Well it's definitely a big earner for 'em. The DShK is super reliable, packs a punch, and is easy enough to get replacement parts for, so it's become something of a cult favorite among small and non-standard militaries. Most of the ones in Afghanistan probably came from shell purchases or were stolen from the government since Norinco wouldn't risk the PR disaster of selling directly to insurgents.

@Thatevilmidget makes sence of all the DSHK's I saw in afghanistan 90% of them where Chines
-
@wild50gunner China still actually does make 'em, albeit for export only. I'd have to look up the model number, but Norinco is the producer at the moment (which... really isn't surprising because they produce more or less every weapon in China).

@Ome99 yes you can idiot learn the laws
-
@wild50gunner fyi it is still used by the former warsaw pact.

@darkmysterii what do u think if the barret M82A1 is anti vehicle then this version of the DshK is as well (for that matter all DShks are anti vehicle cause there is also the 14.5x114 mm version of it which is bigger then the 50.) so yes its anti vehicle
-
