A short video of my 2 Green cheek conures; Pepper & Jack having fun and being stroked (petted). They look being out of their cages flying around the room together and of course spending time with their fave family member! Greencheek conures are fabulous little parrots. Such clowns.

Before you ask: no, we were not holding their beaks in the photos. We were stroking (petting) their beaks. They love having their beaks stroked, but I realised because they are still images it looks like we were holding them, LOL!

  • Daw... I want a green cheek so badly. LOL

  • ive considered gcc as a pet, but one thing that held me back was that theyre said to go through a bitey stage, and are quite aggressive during that stage. but other than that, theyre perfect for me. (do they go through a bitey stage? how did you handle the situation if they do go through this??)

  • My greenie is a sweet heart.She was a rescue and when I got her she was nippy but I would grab her beak and tell her no.She doesnt bite me now but is still mouthy, She is just preening me but sometimes gets a bit rough.She get bitey during breeding season too.But never breaks the skin or anything.Just grabs my finger a bit too hard.I would love to get a second greencheek but am afraid she would be really jealous

  • conures like to be held on their backs

  • Why do you hold it like that?

  • my green cheek echo is very well biteful she/he will bite u if u pik her up and run away wen ur hand is near her! btw she's/he's 8 months

    @Thebigredballoon

    I have to agree I have one and hes like a child lol

  • @Mr291229 Wow-what a difference in price. I live in the South & I paid $150 for a hand-fed baby black capped conure a year ago & $125 for a maroon bellied 2 years ago. Pet shops always charge more & you won't know where the bird came from. Good luck in your search.

  • 0:32 Awww dats how i hold mine but he always grabs my finger with his foot like hes holding my hand ;_;
