are 10 years old you can have 2dan 13you test for your 3dan depending are when you start

while a black belt at 6 is completely ridiculous, this kid at least seems somewhat competent. Now if he sticks with it and goes for an adult black belt at 16, i'll say he definitely will be a force :)
