Oh, Snapecast! Snapecast! Where have you gone, Snapecast? I wouldst gladly see more of thy cinematic improvements!

Didn't they also miss that line in the third movie? When he screams "DON'T CALL ME A COWARD" at Harry? It's been so long, but I can't recall if they used it or not. It's a major line to the plot...all this time, Harry thinks he's a coward, and all this time, Snape practically BEGS not to be called that. You can tell his double life tears him apart.

I think the screenwriter is wee bit full of himself. The very idea of changing such an iconic line is near sacrilege. I just hope that "look at me" isn't "I do desire eye-contact".
I truly don't believe Steve Kloves understands Snape pattern of speech. That and his ridiculous belief that he's a better writer than JKR is really hampering the HP movie series.

You're right about how it sounds like they've ate a thesaurus. I don't know why on earth they would think that the scene needed changing. Obviously they don't have issues with plagarism, I think it's more to do with the fact that WB seem to think that Snape can't say an uncomplicated sentece. I definitley get the impression that they think that everything he says needs to be peppered with flowery language. Perhaps they are trying to play up to Rickman's voice?

I think this is the fourth time that I've watched this and it makes me laugh every time and also it makes me want to find the script writer and give him a good shake. What would have been wrong with "don't call me a coward"? It is short, sweet and so very characteristic of Snape.

the narrator sounds like an idiot
I can only pray that they don't completely screw him in The Prince's Tale in the DH film... I'm half dreading and half eagerly anticipating it... Snape lives!!

Ha! Amusing end.
Was that truly in the script? The change of wording from "Don't call me coward!" sounded like someone trying to avoid plagiarism. Cough up a thesaurus, why don't you.
