Interview: MEP Cristian Silviu Buşoi about notaries in Europe

Cristian Silviu Buşoi, Member of the European Parliament from Romania for the ALDE group in the European Parliament, discusses the role and challenges for notaries when it comes to encourage small- and mediumsized companies in Europe.

The interview was conducted at the 3rd CNUE Congress in Brussels, which brought together notaries from across Europe and prominent speakers from national and European politics, business people, academics and legal practitioners, who will share their experiences.

The topic of the congress is 'Perspectives of EU Company Law for SMEs. In a context of economic crisis, the working sessions will fuel the European institutions' discussions. The regulatory framework of companies is currently evolving fast and many EU legislative initiatives are expected. The congress is seen as one of the major events of 2011 in the area of company law.
