A 'harmonic' is a bell-like bar chord, played on the 3rd, 4th, 7th, 11th or 14th fret, that can add a great touch to your dulcimer style. It takes practice, and this is a good example of how it is done, sorry for the background noise.

I've done harmonics on violin but never seen them done on mountain dulcimer. How neat! Thansk for sharing.
