Anyone know where I can buy a 1965-6 Wartburg 1000De luxe or later 353.I owned one in 1966 before I came to the USA.I have never seen one since living in the USA.

I had the same Wartburg same colour back in 1966..I never had any steering lock problems.Must be just another idiot driving the one on the Video.

@albion2742 Well I can't remember getting a good look at the driver on the day because I was looking through the 1" screen on my camera, but looking on the video he could be a gentleman of some advanced years. Perhaps he misjudged the turn or particularly once he stopped, couldn't get the lock on due to heavy unassisted steering. There were two of these Wartburgs at Crich on this particular day, & this was the better one of the two. It was very well kept so he was no idiot from that perspective
