THE MAKING OF WINDSOUNDER part 1
Since ancient times, as well as before the advent of elecricity, acoustic signals in the soundscape gave people a lot of information about their environment, about distances, time, activities and events, directions and more.

The Catalan sculptor Anton Roca and I are building in a private park just in front of the famous San Galgano Abbey near Siena, Italy a monumental structure (8x8x4 m.) called Wind Sounder.

Actually it is an acoustic wind rose, an instrument which sounds because of the wind and gives to the listeners some information about the wind itself, its directions, its intensity.

The video we are presenting, which is now under construction, will document with photos, movies and interviews the genesys of the project and the steps inthe realization of Wind Sounder, up to the moment of the congress.
We estimate, at the moment, the complition of Wind Sounder to be within 2009.
